Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026
Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital courses, professional resources and related services offered through buzzquell. The content focuses on studio production in motion including studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting and sound waves and creating smooth high-quality workflows for television news and live shows. It covers both one-time course access and any subscription-based access to materials. The policy governs transactions made by customers located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are handled and when refunds may be issued.
Prices, currencies, taxes and any additional charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Prices include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. No hidden charges apply to standard purchases. If additional taxes or duties become due because of changes in UK legislation they will be clearly shown before checkout. Currency conversion fees charged by your payment provider remain your responsibility and are not included in the displayed price.
Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation and payment security
We accept major credit and debit cards processed through secure third-party gateways. Payment is authorised at the time of purchase. All transactions use encryption and comply with UK data protection standards under the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR. We do not store full card details on our systems. Authorisation must be successful before access to digital materials is granted.
Order, booking or service confirmation and when a contract is formed
A contract is formed when you receive an order confirmation email after successful payment. This email contains details of the purchased course or resource and a unique reference number. Until this confirmation is issued no contract exists and you may cancel without liability. Digital access links are provided only after confirmation.
Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel if you have not started accessing the digital content. Once you begin streaming or downloading materials the cancellation right ends. For subscriptions you may cancel future billing periods at any time but no pro-rata refund is given for the current period unless otherwise required by law.
Refund eligibility, exclusions and non-refundable items or services
Refunds are available only if the course materials are faulty, not as described or if we fail to provide access within a reasonable time. Digital content that has been accessed or downloaded is generally non-refundable. Promotional or discounted purchases may have additional restrictions clearly stated at the time of sale. Services such as live support sessions are non-refundable once attended.
The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund
To request a refund contact us via the form on our Contacts page or by writing to [email protected]. Include your order reference number, the date of purchase and a clear explanation of the reason for the request. We may ask for additional details such as screenshots showing access issues. Requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase for consideration.
Inspection, approval, rejection and notification of the refund decision
We will inspect your request within 14 days of receipt. You will receive an email notification stating whether the refund is approved or rejected together with reasons for any rejection. If approved the refund will be processed without further action on your part. Rejected requests may be appealed once with additional supporting information.
Refund method, processing time and when funds should reach the customer
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing takes up to 10 working days after approval. Credit or debit card refunds may appear on your statement within 3 to 5 additional working days depending on your bank. We cannot expedite refunds beyond these timeframes.
Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services or promotional offers where relevant
Because our offerings consist primarily of digital content the 14-day cooling-off period ends immediately upon access. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Promotional bundles are treated as single purchases and refunds are considered only for the entire bundle. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of subscriptions.
Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks and suspected fraud
If a payment fails you will be notified and given the opportunity to retry. Duplicate charges will be investigated and refunded promptly upon confirmation. Chargebacks are treated as refund requests but may result in suspension of access until resolved. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account review and possible reporting to UK authorities in accordance with the law.
Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or UK GDPR. You retain the right to claim for goods or services that are not of satisfactory quality or as described. These rights cannot be limited or excluded by any term in this policy.
Contact route, policy changes and last-updated date
For questions about this policy use the contact form on our Contacts page or email [email protected]. We may update this policy to reflect changes in UK law or our services. The current version date appears at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
